About me
Dr. McKeon is a renowned Board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a focused expertise in minimally invasive surgery for the knee and shoulder, including unicompartmental replacements. His practice is based at New England Baptist Hospital, along with several local outpatient surgery centers. Dr. McKeon’s academic foundation was established at Georgetown University School of Medicine, followed by an integrated residency program at the University of Connecticut, and culminating in a fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. McKeon holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. His contributions to the field extend beyond patient care. Notably, he served as the former Chief Medical Officer and Head Team Physician for the Boston Celtics. Currently, he leads as the practice manager of the Boston Bone and Joint Institute.
Dr. McKeon’s commitment to the advancement of orthopedic surgery is also evident in his active participation in numerous academic societies, such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
